Visit Aurora Announces a Dazzling Array of Attractions at its Inaugural Aurora Borealis Festival
The festival will showcase an exciting lineup of attractions and performers, featuring immersive art, live performances, local food trucks and artisan vendors.
Aurora, Colo. - October 24, 2024 - Visit Aurora is excited to announce a captivating lineup of attractions for the upcoming Aurora Borealis Festival, happening November 1-3 at The Aurora Highlands’ Winged Melody Park. The festival will feature a breathtaking recreation of the Aurora Borealis using advanced LED technology projected into the sky, along with immersive soundscapes, interactive art installations, and a variety of local food trucks, music, and artisan vendors. Designed to enchant guests of all ages, this free event promises an unforgettable blend of natural wonder and local culture.
“The Aurora Borealis Festival will be unlike anything Aurora or the Denver area has ever seen,” said Bruce Dalton with Visit Aurora. “Our team has worked tirelessly to curate a truly unique experience, blending cutting-edge technology with mesmerizing installations. The festival is free to attend, but guests are encouraged to reserve timeslots for entry to ensure a smooth experience. With limited availability, reserving a spot guarantees they won’t miss this magical experience. VIP packages start at $75 and include premium parking and special access to festival attractions.

At the On Havana Steet Main Stage at The Aurora Highland’s Winged Melody Park, guests can enjoy musical acts from a variety of local performers, including DJ Bedz, Marfa, The Decaf Muchachos, Jared Judge, and Capture This.
Daedalum Exhibit (Pictures here)
The Daedalum Exhibit is a massive inflatable walk-in sculpture that transports visitors into a mesmerizing world where light, color and sound converge. This immersive exhibit is designed to inspire awe, offering a one-of-a-kind sensory experience.
Denver7 Sound Dome (Pictures here)
Sponsored by Denver7, the Sound Dome is a magical installation that fully immerses attendees in light and sound. Whether experienced by day or night, the Sound Dome comes alive as sound effects play through its speakers, creating a multi-dimensional environment that enchants both the ears and eyes.
Stanley Marketplace Orb Garden (Pictures here)
Brought to life by Stanley Marketplace, the Orb Garden is an interactive art display made of neon materials that begs to be touched and explored. These orbs, woven and constructed onsite, are designed for engagement—sit in them, touch them and watch as they transform after dark, glowing from within as the interior lights illuminate.

Aurora Pride brings together the power of dance and music with Silent Disco, which will be located within The Aurora Highlands’ Hogan Park at Highlands Creek. Attendees can groove to their own beat through wireless SoundOff headphones alongside The Aurora Highlands’ most viral permanent art installation Umi. This 21-foot-tall sculpture, created by international artist Daniel Popper, will illuminate with projection mapping technology brining the sculpture to life, creating an immersive, otherworldly ambiance.
Xfinity Light Tunnel
Xfinity presents the Light Tunnel, a breathtaking installation that transports guests into a vivid world of color and light. Perfect for photo opportunities, the tunnel is a must-see attraction at the festival.

The Aurora Borealis Festival will also feature a Global Gift Bazaar showcasing local artisan-made treasures, as well as the Flavors of Aurora Food Court, where attendees can sample local culinary delights from local food vendors like Ten Seconds Yunna Ruce Noodles, Flavors of Tabasco, Mississippi Boy Catfish & Ribs and more. In addition, the Children’s Corner presented by Children’s Hospital Colorado will have fun, family-friendly activities for kiddos to enjoy.
